Firmware update
Update your TST Bridge
Install the latest firmware straight from your browser over a USB cable. No apps, no drivers, about two minutes.
Checking the latest firmware…
Flashing needs a desktop browser with Web Serial: Chrome, Edge or Opera on Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS. Phones, Safari and Firefox can’t talk to USB devices.
The dongle’s memory is erased and the new firmware is written. Don’t unplug it until you see “Update complete” — it restarts on its own.
How it works
- Plug it inConnect the dongle to your computer with a USB data cable.
- Pick the portClick “Install firmware” and choose the dongle in the list your browser shows.
- WaitErasing and writing take a minute or two. Keep the cable connected.
- Back to the carPlug the dongle back in and open the TST app — later updates arrive over the air.
Before you start
- Chrome, Edge or Opera on Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS.
- A USB cable that carries data — some cables only charge.
- Close other programs that might be using the dongle’s port — serial monitors, other flashing tools.
Troubleshooting
The port list is empty
Try another cable and another USB port, preferably one directly on the computer rather than a hub. Then reload this page.
“Failed to open serial port”
Another program is holding the port. Close it — or unplug the dongle, plug it back in and try again.
The update stopped halfway
Reconnect the dongle and run the update again — an interrupted update can simply be repeated from the start.
